InfoHarvest was priviliged to be invited to the 2019 Tribal Habitat Conference hosted by the Skokomish Tribe. We gave a presentation titled "The EMDS-Ecosystem Management Decision Support Platform, In which we described how the evolving open EMDS platform can help leverage data and models to support decision making in the Puget Sound basin.

Oct 22, 2019 - InfoHarvest chaired a session at INFORMS 2019 on AI and SDS
InfoHarvest hosted a session titled "Combining AI, Spatial and Decision Analysis in a Decision Support System to Change the World" Convergence Accelerator at the Informs Annual meeting in Seattle. Keith Reynolds of the US Forest Service described how the EMDS platform is evolving with Version 8, Bill Levings of WHLevings showed how CDP running on the EMDS helps design portfolios of projects for a given budget, and InfoHarvest's CEO Philip Murphy showed how LPA's VisiRule rapid expert system building application can be used to identify what permits are required for projects in WA State.

Sep 12th, 2019 - InfoHarvest part of team winning NSF funding
InfoHarvest is part of a team that just received funding from the NSF for a Convergence Accelerator pilot. Our collaborative project is to develop an Open Knowledge Network for Spatial Decision Support. See the abstract here. As a first step, we are are working with collaborators here in the Puget Sound on datasets and knowledge related to water quality.

InfoHarvest participated in the 2019 EMDS User Forum webinar. The goal of this User Forum was to update users on the latest features in EMDS and discuss future development directions. There were brief demos of the four core modeling tools integrated in EMDS, and a workflow using all four for ecosystem recovery.
