Public Outreach Discovery Survey

In February 2006, a Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) was empowered to recommend a strategic wastewater plan for Clackamas County, OR, Service District #1. InfoHarvest was hired in August 2006 to host a public outreach discovery survey. The discovery survey ran on the DecisionHarvest platform from August 31, 2006 through September 10th, 2006.

The aims of this public outreach decision survey were to

inform the public of the complex decision framework being developed by the CAC
obtain a snapshot of the public's values (weights) regarding this decision
provide each member of the public with immediate feedback on the possible implications of their values
provide the public with context sensitive links to online resources for this decision

The final report (see below) was submitted on October 15, 2006.

On Dec 19, 2006 The Clackamas County Board of Commissioners formally approved the Wastewater Treatment Facility Implementation Plan based on recommendations from its Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC).
“Considering the complexity and magnitude of this type of capital improvement project, we feel strongly that this plan has produced near consensus among stakeholders,” said Commissioner Bill Kennemer. Click here for the full press release.
